Avalon Acknowledges Employees for Length of Service

AVALON – Avalon Mayor Martin Pagliughi and Borough Council recognized and congratulated various employees for their length of service to the community. The recognitions were made during the Dec. 13 meeting of Avalon Borough Council. 
“I want to personally congratulate the borough employees who have achieved significant milestones in their careers serving the citizens of Avalon,” stated Pagliughi in a release. “We are tremendously proud of their success, and deeply appreciative of their efforts at sustaining a high level of public service year after year.”
Among the individuals recognized for longevity of service were Pagliughi and Council member Richard Dean, who both have served as elected officials for 30 years. Also honored with a special proclamation was current Cape May County Surrogate and former Avalon Planning Board and Zoning Board Solicitor Dean Marcolongo, who was elected to the position of surrogate for Cape May County in the November 2017 election.

Olivia Gorecke, Sean Farrell, Jennifer Bailey, Heather Burns (five years).
Linda Duffy, Patricia Wilk, Joseph Bereheiko, Matthew Sykes, Wendy Connell, Eric Heisman, Robin Camp, Richard Dean Jr. (10 years).
Ann Marie McCormick, Dawn Brady, Eric Glenz (15 years).
Brian Repici (20 years).
Marie J. Hood, William Macomber, John Roscoe (25 years).
Robert Rhoda, William McCormick (30 years).
Earl Whildin, Jr. (35 years).
