ATV Prohibition Signs Erected in Upper

UT Logo

By Camille Sailer

PETERSBURG – At the municipal governing body meeting Oct. 11, it was announced that Upper Township has installed ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle) prohibition signs between Stagecoach and Tuckahoe roads.
The signs warn against ATV use on the land surrounding the roads.
The ATV use has been the focus of many complaints by residents in recent months. The residents object to the illegal, reckless and loud use of ATVs including in some residential sections.
The township committee is hoping this action will take care of the problem; also under consideration are hard barriers so ATV riders who wish to violate the prohibition will be totally restricted from entering.
