VILLAS – Lower Township Manager James Ridgway announced April 16 that a feasibility study into a proposed aquatic center, to be located at the Cape May County airport, would be presented at the May 7 meeting at 7 p.m. A previous resolution authorized an application for a county Open Space grant to fund an aquatic center should the concept be approved. The center is envisioned to include indoor pools, including an eight-lane competition pool. The idea is also to provide senior services that include hydro-therapy and other benefits. The township is also interested in studying the potential for shared use agreements with neighboring municipalities to help offset costs.
