NORTH CAPE MAY – Lower Township Council passed a resolution May 7 accepting a $7.02-million bid to begin the long-anticipated Roseanne Avenue flood mitigation project. Agate Construction Co. of Clermont was awarded the project after the first public bid process failed to produce a contractor that could meet the initial project estimates. The project will improve local storm drainage. It will include a pump house that will ensure that stormwater will be removed through the revitalized storm pipe system, and also includes significant street repair.
