DENNISVILLE – Dennis Township Mayor Zeth Matalucci announced that the municipality was selected to receive $80,000 from the state Department of Transportation (NJDOT) for the reconstruction of Academy Road. According to the March 25 award letter from NJDOT Commissioner Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti, this is “a very competitive program. This year, the department received 681 applications requesting more than $377.9 million. There is $161.25 million available in funds from the Transportation Trust Fund supported by the state gas tax.” Matalucci stated, “We worked very hard on our application and are very pleased that we have been successful in receiving funding in this highly selective grant program.”
