A Place for Fluffy?

By Camille Sailer

SEA ISLE CITY – This municipality’s City Council received a request from the public June 12 that a dog park be established. “There are no dog-friendly areas in Sea Isle and in summer when they can’t go on the beach there is nowhere for our pets to run and play,” observed a resident. Business Administrator George Savastano replied, “In our capital plan we have included some funding of about $25,000 to look at where a dog park might be located. We realize the park would be a nice amenity, but it’s a challenge to find some open space to put it. If the council decides to move forward, we’d also want to include as much community input as possible so we can get the best options available for careful planning.”
