By Rachel Rogish

NORTH WILDWOOD – On the recommendation of North Wildwood Mayor Patrick Rosenello, Joseph Heitzmann, Jr. and Bradley Ladislaw received their appointments to captain with the North Wildwood Fire Department Feb. 5. As a wave of blue uniforms filled council chambers, Heitzmann and Ladislaw took the oath of office, administered by City Clerk Scott Jett. Family and friends witnessed the ceremony. Heitzmann joined as a volunteer while in high school and has served as a career firefighter since 2007. Heitzmann’s father also served in the department. Ladislaw has served in several departments across South Jersey, beginning in Cinnaminson, before coming to North Wildwood.
