The City of Cape May has a wide range of ongoing activities for your enjoyment.

Adult Learn to Swim, 18 years of age and older, Wednesdays, 6:30-7:15 p.m., Cape May City Elementary School.
Wee Play, parents and children ages 18 months–3 years of age, Franklin Street Civic Center, Thursdays, 9:30-11 a.m. Gym activities, songs and projects.
Story Book Hour, preschoolers games and playtime with Anita DeSatnick, Wednesdays 10:30-11:30 a.m., Cape May City Library.
Men’s Slo-pitch Softball League, Interested teams can call the Recreation Department at 884-9565. The 2009 league will run May through August, with games Monday and Wednesday, 6:30 p.m.
Arthritis Class, Cape May Elementary School swimming pool, Tuesday and Thursday, 5:30-6 p.m.
Aqua Aerobics Class, low-impact exercise with music and dance, Tuesday and Thursday, 6-7 p.m.
Aqua Exercise Class, low-impact workout using the water as resistance. Great for arthritis, overall toning and stress relief.
Senior Open Lap Swim, Cape May Elementary School, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 4-5:30 p.m.
Pelican Place Preschool, 3 and 4 year olds.
Children Swim Classes, call for Information.
Family Swim, Sunday, 3-5 p.m. Cape May Elementary School.
Lap Swim, Tuesday and Thursday, 8-9 p.m. Cape May Elementary School.
Open Swim Night, Saturday 5-7 p.m., Cape May Elementary School.
Cape May Waves Swim Team, ages 5-18.
Gymnastics – Friday – Beginner 4:30-5:30 p.m., Intermediate 5:45-7:15 p.m. Franklin Street Civic Center.
Jazz Aerobics, Monday-Wednesday-Friday, 9:30-10:30 a.m., Franklin Street Civic Center Gym, eight-week session $45; purchase a card worth 10 classes for $30 or $4 per class.
Pilates, Monday and Wednesday, 6:30-7:15 p.m., Franklin Street Civic Center.
Cardio Kick Aerobics – Wednesday & Friday 5:45 – 6:30 p.m. Franklin Street Civic Center, eight-week session $45; purchase a card worth 10 classes for $30 or $4 per class.
Mat Pilates, wear comfortable clothing and bring two towels or mat, Monday and Wednesday 6:30-7:15 p.m., Cape May Elementary School gym. Eight-week session $45; purchase a card worth 10 classes for $30 or $4 class.
Spring Gymnastic Classes, boys and girls ages 5-14, balance beam, uneven parallel bars, vaulting, trampoline, tumbling, Fridays, Franklin Street Civic Center. Beginners 4:30-5:30 p.m., Intermediates 5:45-7:15 p.m.
Camp Cape May, summer day camp for children ages 4-12, full day of activities, outdoor education, science, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, sports, games, nature walks, walking excursions, field trips, one pool day per week, two beach days per week, parades, parent’s day picnic, Kiwanis Barbeque and more.
Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., before and after care available. Camp runs June 22-Aug. 14 at Kiwanis Park on Madison Avenue or Franklin Street Civic Center on rainy days.
Register weekly or for the entire 8-week session. A discount of 10 percent is available for brothers and sisters if enrolled for the entire session.
