Wildwoods Consider Private Ambulances, Merged Fire Departments

NORTH WILDWOOD — This city and Wildwood are now considering hiring private ambulance companies, and are also looking at the possibility of merging their paid fire departments, according to the Press of Atlantic City.
With combined fire department budgets of nearly $3 million and a total of 30 full-time and 33 part-time employees, the Press story said both cities were exploring the possibilities as cost saving measures.
