WILDWOOD – The City of Wildwood Fire Department4400 New Jersey Ave., releases its November 2018 statistics:
Members of the Wildwood City Fire Department responded to 211 fire and emergency medical related incidents for the month of November 2018.
Members of the department also conducted 260 Fire Safety Inspections for the month.
According to Wildwood Fire Chief Daniel F Speigel, statistics for the month are as follows:
Squad Company 3 responded to the following incidents:
Fires: 3 (including building fires, cooking fires, rubbish fires, vehicle fires)
Rescue/EMS: 31 (MVAs, medical assists, elevator entrapments, water rescues)
Hazardous Conditions: 16 (gas leaks, electrical hazards, aircraft stand-by)
Service Calls: 4 (animal rescues, assist police department, public assists)
Good Intent Calls: 3 (smoke scares, odor of smoke, and investigations with no incident)
False Alarm and False Calls: 31 (malfunctioning alarm systems, malicious alarms, unintentional)
Total: 88
Ambulance 3 responded to the following incidents:
Alcohol, drugs, overdose, toxins: 4
Cardiac, chest pains, hypotension, hypertension: 6
Bleeding, trauma, injuries, assaults: 15
Weakness, malaise, sickness, dizziness, pain: 20
Respiratory, shortness of breath, dyspnea: 7
Seizure, stroke, neurological, unconscious, syncopal episodes, diabetic, hypoglycemic, altered mental status: 8
