UPDATE: Firefighters Respond to House Fire in Stone Harbor

STONE HARBOR — Firefighters responded to a structure fire here on the 200 block of 94th Street just before 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan 13.
While on patrol, Stone Harbor police Patrolman Herman and Special Law Enforcement Officer Lamanteer observed smoke coming from the rear of the Wawa food market at 94th Street and Third Avenue.
The Stone Harbor Fire Department took command of the fire scene and was assisted by:
• Cape May Court House Fire Department
• Rio Grande Fire Department
• Rio Grande Rescue Squad
• Avalon Fire Department
• Avalon Rescue Squad
• County Fire Marshal’s Office
• Stone Harbor Rescue Squad
Stone Harbor Fire Chief Stanford declared the fire under control at 12:28 a.m. The house was unoccupied at the time of the fire and no injuries were sustained.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
No injuries were reported.
The fire is under investigation by the Cape May County fire marshal.
