Update: All Fire Districts Pass Budgets

COURT HOUSE — Results from all 14 fire district elections in the county’s townships held Sat., Feb. 18 indicate all budgets passed.
In Middle Township Fire District No. 1, Court House, an additional question to allow purchase of a $600,000 fire truck was approved 216-103.
Results were compiled and provided by the Cape May County Clerk’s Office. All will be posted after they are received by that office.
In Lower Township Fire District No. 1, Villas, Commissioner Carrise L. Mornick, won the seat by a single vote, 44-43, over Peter C. Smith.
Dennis Township:
District No. 1, Ocean View, Budget $355,000: Yes, 21, No, 2. Commissioners (2) Robert Clayton, 21, Levin Oakley, 21.
District No. 2, Dennis, Budget $241,201: Yes, 26, No, 1. Commissioner (1) Michael H. Gihorski Jr., 26.
District No. 3, Belleplain, Budget: Yes, 17. Purchase fire truck not to exceed $300,000: Yes, 15, No, 2. Commissioners (2) Tami Kern, 15, Corey Shaffer, 17.
Lower Township
District No. 1, Villas, Budget $605,639: Yes, 60, No, 22. Commissioner (1) Carrise L. Mornick, 44, Peter C. Smith, 43.
District No. 2, Town Bank, Budget $1,046,794: Yes: 81, No, 37. Commissioners (2) Lewis H. Conley Jr., 86, Robert A. Nolan, 109.
District No. 3, Erma, Budget $827,483: Yes, 87, No, 27. Commissioners (2) Gary Douglass, 106, Dennis Robertson, 67.
