Toppled Tree Causes Downed Wires in North Cape May

NORTH CAPE MAY – Erma, Town Bank and Villas fire departments responded to a report of an electrical fire here at 201 Washington Blvd at 11:59 p.m. on Feb 5.
A branch fell from a large tree and struck the side of the house knocking electric wire down.
The residence was occupied at the time of the incident. They are now unable to return to the home.
Injuries are unknown at this time.
There are reports of more wires coming down in the vicinity. Washington Blvd. and Howland Avenue were blocked off as crews repaired.
