Seventeen Graduate From County Fire Academy

CAPE MAY COUNTY HOUSE – The Cape May County Fire Academy held graduation exercises for Fire Fighter I candidates on March 12, 2010 at the Cape May County Public Safety Training Center.
Speakers at graduation included Senator Jeff Van Drew, Assemblymen Nelson Albano and Matt Milam, Freeholder Vice-Director Ralph E. Sheets Jr., Anthony Saduk, Director of the Cape May County Public Safety Training Center and Fire Marshal Al Beers. The officers for the Fire Fighter I Class are Daniel Prager, Cape May Court House Fire Department, President and James Collins, Green Creek Fire Department, Vice-President.
Seventeen students graduated from the Fire Fighter I program after completing fourteen weeks of training at the Cape May County Fire Academy. Fire Fighter I students, volunteers sent by local fire departments, are mandated by the State of New Jersey to receive training to be a volunteer fire fighter. Training consists of ladders, ventilation, search and rescue, live burn, terrorism and more.
