Sea Isle Blaze Levels 6 Condos

SEA ISLE CITY — On Nov. 17 at about 6:30 p.m. Sea Isle City Fire Department responded to a working structure fire at 6415 Pleasure Ave. that involved six unoccupied condominiums.
The fire spread to two other adjacent structures that encompassed the condominiums. Those structures collapsed during the fire.
Other nearby dwellings also sustained minor damage.
Volunteer fire companies assisted Sea Isle City from Avalon and Ocean View in battling the three-alarm blaze.
Avalon also responded one ambulance for mutual aid. The Cape May County Fire Police responded to the scene to assist police with traffic.
One firefighter was injured when he sustained a broken leg after he slipped from a fire truck. He was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center, for treatment of his injuries.
The fire is under investigation by the Sea Isle Police Dept and the county Fire Marshal’s Office.
