Police Investigate Wildwood Apartment Fire

WILDWOOD — On Wednesday, Feb. 11 at approximately 1:29 p.m., personnel from the Wildwood police and fire departments as well as the county Fire Marshal’s and Prosecutor’s Office Arson Unit responded to 3201 Atlantic Ave., Key Colony Condos Unit 206, for the report of an apartment fire in which extensive fire damage occurred.
According to a release, the fire damage was discovered by employees of Wildwood Glass Company, who were at that location to repair damage that had occurred there in a previous incident.
The apartment is owned by Hassan Kelley, of Newark, Del.
Detectives from the Wildwood Police Department and county Prosecutor Office are conducting a joint investigation into the cause and origin of the fire, which appears to be suspicious in nature, police said. The investigation maintains an active status.
