ERMA – Members of the Lower Township Police Department and the Erma Volunteer Fire Company responded to 301 Route 9 in Erma for a report of a debris fire Nov. 10.
According to a release, upon police arrival, they observed several small pockets of fires in the rear of the property. The pockets of fire appeared to have spread through the brush in the area, where it eventually caught an unoccupied trailer on fire.
Members of the Erma Fire Company responded and expeditiously extinguished the fire. The following day, representatives from the Cape May County Fire Marshal’s Office, as well as the Lower Township Police Department, responded and evaluated the scene.
