Not Your Everyday Fire Call

By Herald Staff

VILLAS- On Sat., March 10 about 11 a.m., Villas Volunteer Fire Company received a “service call” for a house at corner of Ellery and Woolson.
It appeared a cat had been stuck on the roof of that house since the previous night. Villas Fire Company arrived with their ladder truck and extended the manned ladder to the roof but the cat became frightened and started down the roof to the gutters.
A second fireman placed a ladder and climbed up to the roof. The cat then jumped off the roof without injury and ran away.
