No Injuries in Villas Fire

VILLAS – On May 9, at approximately 1:24 a.m., Lower Township Police were dispatched to the 300 East block Delaware Parkway for a reported structure fire.
According to a release, upon the officers’ arrival to the area, the sole occupant of the residence was already outside, uninjured.
Villas Fire Department, with the help of Erma and Town Bank fire companies, quickly responded to the scene and were able to extinguish the fire. Lower Township Rescue Squad was also on scene. Cape May County Fire Marshal’s Office was later dispatched to the scene, as well as Atlantic City Electric. 
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Cape May County Fire Marshal’s Office, however, it appears to be accidental at this time.
