Green Creek Firefighters Called Twice in Early Morning

GREEN CREEK — Green Creek volunteer firefighters were called to two locations in the early morning of May 8.
The fire, at 4:27 a.m. was on High’s Beach Road for the report of arcing electric wires.
Then, about an hour later, about 5:25 a.m., at Acorn Campground on Route 47, the local firefighters were joined by Rio Grande firefighters for the report of a structure fire.
When Middle Township police arrived on scene, they reported that a portion of unit A 24’s deck and some siding was on fire.
County Fire Marshal personnel were sent to the scene to investigate.
No further information was available.
