COURT HOUSE – There’s a new trophy in the Goshen Fire House. It’s the 2012 Cape May County Waterball Tournament top prize that was awarded Sun., June 10 at the end of an afternoon of competition between volunteer firefighters from Court House, Ocean View and Goshen.
Proceeds from the event, held on the east side of Middle Township Elementary No. 2, will benefit the Burn Foundation, according to Joe Cappetto, event chairman, and a member of Court House Fire Co. Number 1.
Second place trophy was awarded to Ocean View Volunteer Fire Co.
Third place went to Court House Fire Co. Number 1, which sponsored the event, as do all first place winners the following year.
Cappetto expressed gratitude to local and regional businesses that contributed to make the event a success. They included: Court House Acme, Staples, Court House, Donut Connection, Court House McDonald’s, The Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart, Kmart, Dietz & Watson, Herrs Potato Chips and TastyKake.
