OCEAN VIEW – Multiple fire companies responded to reports of a dwelling fire at a campground in the 2000 Block of Route 9 in Ocean View around 11 p.m. Aug. 9.
Upon arrival, firefighters from Ocean View and Dennis Township volunteer fire companies reported two heavily involved trailers across from the propane refilling station, and requested additional units, adding Seaville Fire to the assignment, according to Seaville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company’s Facebook page.
Tender 43 from Seaville Fire responded with a crew of six and assisted with fire suppression and overhaul. Due to water supply issues other tenders from the surrounding area were also requested, bringing units from Marmora, Court House and Sea Isle City volunteer fire companies.
Seaville units operated on scene for approximately two hours. The fire is under investigation by the Cape May County Fire Marshal’s Office.
