Firefighters Extinguish Wildwood Diner Fire

WILDWOOD – City firefighters responded to 4900 Pacific Avenue, Marvis Diner, for a building fire at 2:43 p.m. April 14.
Firefighters arrived finding fire in the rear of the building involving the rear trash area, the building and the electrical service to the building. The fire was quickly extinguished.
Building workers were evacuated from the building during the incident. The restaurant was not open at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported.
The fire was investigated and determined to be accidental. Units including the Wildwood City FD, North Wildwood Engine 2 and the Cape May County Fire Marshal’s Office operated on scene for about an hour.
