Firefighters Extinguish Tuckahoe Blaze

TUCKAHOE – Tuckahoe Fire and Upper Township Rescue were alerted to respond to the area of the 100 Block of Poplar Avenue for a reported dwelling fire at 4:11 a.m. July 28, according to Seaville Fire Rescue’s Facebook page.
Upon arrival, a well-involved, two story single-family dwelling, with heavy fire showing from the rear was reported. A dispatch was requested (adding Seaville Fire and Marmora Fire to the assignment). Seaville Tender 43 responded with a crew of five and operated on scene for over two hours before taking up and returning to service.
The fire is under investigation by the Cape May County Fire Marshal’s Office. No injuries were reported.
