Firefighters Battle Wildwood Blaze

WILDWOOD – The Wildwood City Fire Department responded to 140 W. Spencer Avenue for a reported structure fire at 11:55 p.m. June 3.
On arrival, Engine Company 38, under the command of Captain Troiano, found a one-story, abandoned dwelling with fire showing from a boarded-up window. The building was quickly opened up (all windows and doors were boarded-up) and the fire was extinguished. The fire was concentrated around the one window frame.
The fire is currently under investigation by the Cape May County Fire Marshal’s Office and the Wildwood City Fire Department.
