WEST WILDWOOD – West Wildwood Fire Department was dispatched to the 600 Block of West Maple Avenue for a building fire Aug. 19 at 4:34 p.m., according to a post on West Wildwood Fire Department’s Facebook page.
Wildwood Fire Department Engine Co. 38 (A-Platoon) was also dispatched on automatic aid response. Wildwood Fire Department FO-1 also responded. On arrival of Engine 38, under the command of Capt. Ernie Troiano, a working fire was reported in a detached shed with an exposure to the residence. Engine 21 arrived behind Engine 38. The fire was under control within 30 minutes. There was no one home at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation by the Cape May County Fire Marshal’s Office.
West Wildwood Police Department was also on scene, maintained a safe area around the scene and assisted.
