Firefighters Battle Three Alarm Blaze in Court House

COURT HOUSE– Firefighters were called to Poplar Street shortly after midnight on Thursday for a reported structure fire.
Firefighters arrived on scene to find the 95-year-old, two story single family home engulfed in flames. Multiple fire departments from Middle, Dennis, Lower and Stone Harbor were dispatched. According to the County Fire Marshal on scene at around 12:45 a.m., the fire was at three alarms. He said the fire could possibly grow to 4 or 5 alarms.
Police on scene said there were no injures. Two adults and one child safely escaped with the family’s dog.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
