Firefighters Battle Erma Chimney Fire

ERMA- Erma units were dispatched to a chimney fire in the 800 Block of Meadow View Road at 6:30 a.m. Nov. 16.
Erma Fire Company was on scene within 2 minutes and reported smoke showing from the gable vents and requested an all call response, bringing Town Bank and Villas Fire Departments to the scene. Fire was located in the wall above the fire place. Extensive over haul was performed to extinguish the fire. Rio Grande Fire Department was also on scene to assist. The residents were displaced and were going to stay with family. Units were on scene for approximately two hours. The reporting Chief on scene was Warner Muller.
The fire is under investigation. No further information at this time.
