WILDWOOD – Wildwood City Fire Department was dispatched to the 200 block East Garfield Avenue Aug. 26 at approximately 7 p.m. for a reported structure fire. While en route Fire Official Ronald Harwood reported fire to be in the rear of the dwelling.
Engine Company 38, under the command of Firefighter Robert Feltwell, arrived to find a three-story multiple occupancy apartment building with fire extending up the exterior rear of the building. North Wildwood Engine Company 2 also arrived on scene and assisted with fire extinguishment and evacuation of the building.  
Fire was placed under control in 15 minutes. No injuries were reported.  Investigation found a discarded cigarette caused the fire.
