Fire Heavily Damages Rio Grande Garage

RIO GRANDE – Rio Grande Fire Company responded to a garage fire on the 400 block of E. Maryland Avenue at approximately 10:21 p.m. April 17.
The detached garage fire spread to the side of the house, according to a post on Rio Grande Fire Company’s Facebook page. The fire resulted in minor water damage to the interior of the house, which is 4 inches from the garage.
Green Creek Fire Company assisted, and Erma Volunteer Fire Company stood by on scene with their Rapid Intervention Team.
No injuries were reported.
No word on what caused the fire.
