Fire District Polls Open 2-9 p.m. Feb. 16

COURT HOUSE – Voters in 14 Fire Election Districts in Dennis, Upper, Lower and Middle townships will go to the polls in their respective fire houses Feb.16, from 2 to 9 p.m. to cast ballots on the budget and commissioners.

Dennis Township Fire District No. 1
Ocean View Volunteer Fire Co.
Vote for two, full three-year term: John Berg, Edward Guest
Vote for one, one-year term: Thomas Carroll
Vote for one, two-year term: Wayne Matthews
Budget: $368,000
Dennis Township Fire District No. 2
Dennis Volunteer Fire Co.
Vote for two, three-year term: Carla A. Coffeey, Kyle Prosser
Budget: The sum of $246,025 to cover the budget of $247,100.
Question 2: Shall Dennis Fire District No. 2…be given authority to incur debt, issue bonds or notes and expend appropriated funds, in an amount not to exceed $490,000 for the purchase of fire equipment, specifically a 1,200-gallon rescue pumper firefighting truck with associated equipment?

Budget: $882,789 which includes $712,505 to be raised by taxation
Question 2: Shall the Commissioners of Fire District No. 3 of Lower Township be authorized to (a) make various capital improvements to the Erma Volunteer Fire Station located at 415 Breakwater Road…including but not limited to the renovation and/or replacement of the roof, doors, engine bay floors, lighting and utility systems; together with the acquisition of all equipment and the completion of all work necessary for or related thereto: (b) expend for all of the foregoing an amount not to exceed $2 million and (c) issue and sell bonds or, in the alternative bond anticipation notes, of the Fire District for said purposes in the amount not to exceed $2 million?
