Fire Damages 'Walk Ice Cream Shop

NORTH WILDWOOD – Fire damaged an ice cream shop on the North Wildwood Boardwalk Aug. 28, NJ.com reports.
Firefighters responded to the Dairy Queen at 23rd Street and Boardwalk around 4:30 p.m., and found smoke coming from a corner of the shop.
Fire was located under the pier, extending into the building. The fire was also beginning to compromise high voltage lines that were located under the pier, according to a post on North Wildwood Fire Department’s Facebook page.
The fire was quickly contained and caused minimal damage.
