Fire Damages N. Cape May Home

NORTH CAPE MAY – Fire departments from Town Bank, Villas, and Erma were dispatched to the first block Tern Street for a reported structure fire March 25. 
Assistant Chief Tony Franco, of Town Bank Fire Company, found an outside shower and trash-can area on fire. The fire spread to the residence, and damaged the exterior siding and some fascia.
Crews were able to extinguish the fire before it penetrated the home. The home received some smoke damage to the interior.
All residents were safe outside the home upon fire departments’ arrival.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by Cape May County Fire Marshal’s Office.
