Fire Damages Exterior of Avalon Manor Home

AVALON MANOR — Just after 5 p.m. on June 24 Cape May Court House stations 70 and 71 responded to a report of a structure fire at 571 Old Avalon Boulevard.
According to Capt. McCann, the fire started on the rear deck of the home spreading to the exterior wall.
“The damage was contained to the exterior of the home, the interior was not affected. The firefighters did an excellent job containing the fire they had the fire knocked down quick” said McCann.
Avalon Fire Department and County Fire Police also responded to the scene to assist along with Middle Township Rio Grande, and Avalon EMS.
The fire is under investigation by the Cape May County Fire Marshal’s office.
No injuries were reported.
