Fire Damages Court House Home

Firefighters from Court House and Stone Harbor battle a structure fire on North Boyd Street April 13 that was reported at 3:46 p.m.

COURT HOUSE – According to scanner reports, a structure fire was reported on North Boyd Street at 3:46 p.m. April 13. 
At first, a structure fire was reported on Poplar Street, west of the railroad tracks from the scene, about 10 minutes prior.
Court House firefighters were the first to respond, and quickly summoned assistance from Rio Grande and Stone Harbor firefighters.
Heavy smoke was reported as the volunteers battled the blaze.
The Cape May County Fire Marshal was dispatched to determine the fire’s origin.
At 4:30 p.m., firefighters remained on the scene.
No further information was available.
