Car Fire Brings Parkway Traffic To A Stop

OCEAN VIEW– A car fire brought northbound parkway traffic to a stop here at mile marker 19.1 just south of the Cape May Toll Plaza on Monday, Dec 29.
Ocean View Fire Department, Belleplain Emergency Corps and State Police were all dispatched to the scene at 4:21 p.m.
When State Police arrived they reported the engine compartment to be fully engulfed in flames and stopped all traffic in both northbound lanes.
The fire was reported to be under control at 4:39 p.m. by Ocean View Fire Department.
Traffic was stopped for approximately twenty minutes.
No injuries were reported.
