By Harry B. Scheeler Jr.

WILDWOOD– Over 3,800 Atlantic City Electric Customers were without power last evening, according to company spokeswoman Bridget Shelton.
A transformer blew at one of the company’s substations at 8:05 p.m.. Technicians successfully transfered the customers serviced by that transformer to another substation however the demand caused an overload which resulted in the outage, Shelton said.
Crews are working on the problem and power is expected to be restored by 11:00 p.m., tonight.
