GREEN CREEK – Earlier July 11, the American Red Cross Southern Shore Chapter was requested to assist with a single residential home fire in Green Creek, according to a release. Three trained disaster volunteers met with two displaced families consisting of five adults and also four children whose ages range from 1 year to 16-years-old. Care, comfort and emergency help was provided including temporary lodging where necessary or bedding and linens for those staying with family and friends. In addition, food, clothing, shoes, infant supplies and transportation assistance was also furnished.
