WOODBINE – This year, in cooperation with the Cape May County Clean Communities program, Woodbine Elementary School participated in three borough-wide and beach clean-ups.
Over 30 students, parents, and faculty members participated in each of these cleanups. The goal of the program is to educate and inform the public of anti-litter policy and practice. Through this program, mini grants were awarded to Woodbine Elementary School for their clean-up efforts.
Participants in our clean-ups were:
8th grade – Carlos Camacho, Jaylin Garcia, Arcolia Holton, Victoria London, Jaelyn Murphy, Orlando Ramos.
7th grade – Daesha Beachaump, Ariel Cecilia, Andre Cruz, Alberto Gaytan, Torey Harris, Karilyn McNear-Newkirk, KayLee Murphy, Jenessa Newman-Rivera, Sam Price, Eddyanna Rodriguez,Orlando Torres, Gianna Young, Diana Reed, Douglas Watkins, Jazmin Parker, Alexa Craver.
6th grade – Kadin Boyd, Solimar Galindez, Alyia Gray-Rivera, Wilson Laracuente, Shaniya Mann, Nadia Price, Jonathan Torres, Zaliya Zigler.
5th grade – Adrianna Gray-Rivera, Christa Moore, Ky’Lecia Sydnor, Xiomara Walker.
Faculty – Jackie Merollo, Abbe Harris, Judy Casper, Tony DeVico, Margaret Benson, Genna Vezinho.
“We appreciate the efforts of these students and the teachers who accompanied them in these annual cleanup activities that show how they take pride in their community,” commented Mayor Pikolycky.
