By Press Release

STONE HARBOR – May 2, Stone Harbor Elementary School celebrated Arbor Day with a gathering of community members to remember the importance of trees. Each class made a presentation highlighting the benefit of trees. The Stone Harbor Garden Club donated two willow trees which were dedicated to the memory of alumnus Tommy Kraemer, Class of 1999. The trees were planted on each side of a bench featuring one of Tommy’s surfboards as the backrest. Tommy was an avid surfer and a well-know and liked member of the Stone Harbor Community.
