The other is a combination of sites on the County Airport facility with seven locations of “minor concern” and nine of “major concern” there.
Sadat Associates, Inc. of Trenton was contracted to oversee remediation of the former landfill. The enabling resolution noted that the concern there is “due to exceedances to certain groundwater quality standards.”
There were eight firms that submitted responses to be Licensed Site Remediation Profession there. “Sadat Associates, Inc. … has the experience and expertise, is properly staffed and equipped to service the needs and requirements,” the resolution noted.
The action was taken under the “Site Remediation Reform Act of 2009” that requires the county to engage the services of a licensed firm by May 7 to oversee “investigation and cleanup of contaminated sites.”
Similarly, Geo Trans, Inc, doing business as Tetra Tech Geo, based in King of Prussia, Pa., will oversee remediation of the areas at the airport.
For that work the county received 11 responses from qualified firms.
