VILLAS — Site work is about two months ahead of schedule in the demolition of buildings at the former Ponderlodge allowing the property to reopen Sat, April 9, according to Lower Township Manager Michael Voll.
“This will allow our residents and visitors to again enjoy the open space and the walking of their pets,” he said in a press release.
The gates will be open this weekend to the public. The contractor has to complete the trail connections that were requested by the township.
“We toured the site this morning and it was an eye opener to see the asphalt removed from the main road”, said Voll “This property is definitely going back to nature.”
New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife stated that they were replacing the fence on Bayshore Road but they changed their plan and now are going to just remove the damaged fencing, according to Voll.
