TRENTON – Pinelands Commission announced Dec. 9 the public will be given the opportunity to provide comment concerning the commission staff’s determination that South Jersey Gas Company’s (SJG) proposed pipeline to the B.L. England Generating Station in Beesley’s Point is consistent with the standards of the Pinelands Comprehensive Management Plan, according to the commission’s website.
A special meeting of the commission is set for 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 24, 2017 at the Ocean Acres Community Center located at 489 Nautilus Drive Manahawkin, New Jersey 08050.

The comment period will close on Jan. 24, 2017 and written comments will be accepted until 5 p.m. on that date.
Following the close of the public comment period, the commission staff will prepare a subsequent recommendation as to the continued validity of its prior consistency determination. A copy of this recommendation will be posted on the commission’s website prior to the date of the commission meeting at which the commission will consider same.
