Woodbine — Mayor William Pikolycky is pleased to announce that in cooperation with South Jersey Gas Company, the Borough has been successful in coordinating the installation of natural gas service to portions of the downtown area of Woodbine. As part of this project, service will also be provided to the Woodbine Elementary School which will allow the School’s current Capital Improvement project including upgrades to the utility systems to move forward according to schedule, with completion before the start of school in September.
This project just received its final approvals and permits. Kiely Construction has been awarded the contract to install the gas lines. This phase of the gas line expansion will extend to the Town Center area.
A pre-construction meeting with South Jersey Gas and the contractor
to review the project will be held to determine timeframes.
“I would thank South Jersey Gas and all stakeholders in this project,” added Mayor Pikolycky. “This will result in monetary savings for those connected as well as “environmental savings” by reducing the carbon footprint.”
