COURT HOUSE — In an effort to save taxpayer dollars, Middle Township Committee reviewed each service provided. As a result, the township will change the bulk trash pickup schedule.
Beginning in May, one bulk item per month shall be picked up on assigned days per residential zone. Any additional bulk items will be the responsibility of the resident to dispose of properly by taking such items to the MUA transfer station on Shunpike Avenue in Burleigh, or in Woodbine.
“We are anticipating a cost savings with the new bulk trash pick up schedule,” Mayor Susan DeLanzo stated. “We think that one bulk item per month is more than reasonable as we continue to strive to strike a balance by keeping taxes down and still providing the many services our Townships residents deserve.”
The schedule is set as follows:
• Zone 1: Mondays — April 26, May 31, June 28, July 26, Aug. 30, Sept. 27, Oct. 25, Nov. 29 and Dec. 27.
• Zone 2: Tuesdays — April 27, May 25, June 29, July 27, Aug. 31, Sept. 28, Oct. 26, Nov. 30 and Dec. 28.
• Zone 3: Wednesdays — April 28, May 26, June 30, July 28, Aug. 25, Sept. 29, Oct. 27, Nov. 24 and Dec. 29.
• Zone 4: Thursdays — April 29, May 27, June 24, July 29, Aug. 26, Sept. 30, Oct. 28, Nov. 18 and Dec. 30
• Zone 5: Fridays — April 30, May 28, June 25, July 30, Aug. 27, Sept. 24, Oct. 29, Nov. 31 and Dec. 31.
