CAPE MAY POINT – New Jersey Audubon and the CMHRTF are looking for volunteers to help cut and remove garlic mustard and other invasive plants from our maritime forest restoration site within Cape May Point State May 3, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Maritime forests are typically found along the coast and consist of both dune woodlands and forested uplands which provide vital resources to wildlife, including migratory birds. Please come dressed in work clothes and bring work gloves and pruners if you have them. This event is open to the public and light refreshments will be served. The Cape May Habitat Restoration Task Force (CMHRTF) is a partnership coordinated by New Jersey Audubon and includes several federal, state, and non-profit organizations, local environmental commissions, homeowners, businesses, and anyone interested in learning more about invasive plants on the Cape May Peninsula.
