Learn “How Nature Prepares for Winter” on Nov. 23

By Press Release

WILDWOOD CREST – Join the Friends of Cape May National Wildlife Refuge at the Two Mile Beach Unit in Wildwood Crest on Nov. 23 at 10 a.m. for a family nature program, How Nature Prepares for Winter. As participants walk an easy trail, they will look at three different coastal environments and the fabulous flora and fauna that call these places home. Then, they’ll warm up inside the new visitors’ center gift shop and listen to a children’s nature book with a nice cup of hot chocolate and a simple craft. Come join the fun! Free and open to the public. Free loaner binoculars available. No registration required. This walk is perfect for all ages. As always, dress for the weather. Heavy rain cancels the event.
Please meet at the Visitors Contact Station at the Two Mile Beach Unit of Cape May National Wildlife Refuge, 12001 Pacific Ave (Ocean Dr), Wildwood Crest, near the former Coast Guard Loran Station. For more information or directions, please call 609-513-9349.
