NORTH WILDWOOD — One of this city’s popular landmarks is Hereford Inlet Lighthouse, at the north end of Central Avenue. The historic lighthouse casts it beam of light in the dark hours, and floral splendor in the daylight hours.
Gardens surround the lighthouse, offering a profusion of color and scents to the summer air.
Bees and butterflies flock to the yellow and purple blossoms while sparrows, cardinals and even resident squirrels enjoy the feeding stations on the grounds.
A gazebo is located on the grounds as are seats at especially good vantage points to see the gardens as well as the lighthouse.
According to Steve Murray, of the city’s Parks Department who oversees the plantings and care of the gardens, the blooms in the local field of colors will be “just about at their peak in the next week or so.”
Cape May – Governor Murphy says he doesn't know anything about the drones and doesn't know what they are doing but he does know that they are not dangerous. Does anyone feel better now?
