GALLOWAY – Edwin B. Forsythe is world renowned for being a remarkable stopover site for migratory birds. Forsythe is offering weekly bird walks every Friday morning from 8-10 a.m. Walks meet outside the Visitor’s Center at 800 Great Creek Road in Galloway, are free of charge, and no pre-registration is necessary.
The spring and summer migrants are beginning to filter through the refuge, which makes for an exciting bird walk. Environmental Educator and birder/naturalist Amanda Calabrese and Volunteer Master Naturalists at the refuge will guide these walks, which are suitable for adults and interested children accompanied by an adult. All experience levels are welcome.
