SWAINTON — Cape May County’s celebration of Earth Day started with a 5K run through the County Park and events continued through most of the day April 20.
Many youngsters took their turn climbing the rock wall that afforded the brave an opportunity to leave Mother Earth for a few fleeting seconds.
The sound of drums permeated the park in the afternoon as Marc Jacopec distributed an assortment of drums to young and old and the thumping and strumming continued.
Recycled decorations made from assorted discarded goods were judged and prizes awarded by the county Municipal Utilities Authority.
